Description
14 karat rose gold ring designed by Bellarri from the “Athena” collection. The centerpiece of the ring is a 2.55 carat Ethiopian opal. It is surrounded by 2.55 cttw. baguette cut blue topaz alternating with0.32 cttw. round brilliant cut diamonds. There are 4 London Blue topaz and 4 Swiss blue topaz alternating between the diamonds. There are 2 of Bellarri’s signature “B”s underneath 2 of the blue topaz.
Australia has been the dominant force in the opal market for over 100 years. A small discovery in 1994 put Ethiopia on the worldwide opal map. This was followed by important discoveries in 2008 and 2013. Today, Ethiopia is on its way to becoming the second heavyweight in the opal market. Ethiopian opals are not only beautiful, but they generally cost less than similar-quality opal from Australia
